PKA Architects are exploring opportunities to transform the former Potterne village school into a vibrant, multi-purpose community hub for local residents and surrounding communities.

The proposals seek to sensitively adapt this much-loved village landmark, creating a welcoming and flexible environment for a wide range of activities. Plans include a community café, flexible meeting and workshop spaces, office accommodation, and areas for creative activities and local heritage.

The design aims to celebrate the character of the existing building while introducing a warm, contemporary feel, creating an accessible and adaptable space that encourages social interaction, learning and creativity.

The vision is to give a valued village building a new lease of life, securing its future as a sustainable community asset for generations to come.
